Dogs, Ducks And Jackie, Oh My!

While checking out Hip Games' E3 lineup, I couldn't help but notice that most of their games are geared towards a younger set. This is pretty good news if you are a kid, or you just like fart jokes. ;)

First up for the PS2 is Dog's Life, where you play Jake the dog. This action adventure aimed towards gamers around 6-12 years old leads you around by the nose (literally) across the U.S. Jake uses smellovision, which allows you to see the world through his eyes. While in smellovision mode, you may see a certain plume of color and that is your cue to follow that scent. Collecting a certain number of scents increases certain abilities. The gameplay is completely open-ended, allowing kids to choose their own adventures, and there are over 40 hours of gameplay. Since you are a dog, of course, the requisite poop and fart jokes are there as well. Good news for the juvenile humored among us.

Also on the ballot is Around the World in 80 Days, a Gameboy Advance title based on the upcoming movie with Jackie Chan. This side-scroller is set to release right around the time of the movie. It looks like a fairly typical side-scroller, but Jackie definitely looks like himself and the moves he makes reflect his signature acrobatics.

Next was Sitting Ducks for the PC, PS2 and GBA. I only saw the GBA version. This one is based off the T.V. show and basically chronicles the adventures of Bill the Duck and Aldo the Alligator. From what I understand, the ducks live in a town run by alligators, which makes them literally "sitting ducks". Bill and Aldo are friends, however. Wackiness ensues. This one looked cute, especially for kids who are fans of the show.

Last but not least is the follow up to CT: Special Forces called CT: Special Forces Navy Ops. This one looks good and if you enjoyed the last one, you're sure to want to check this one out as well.
