Encore displayed three titles on the show room floor this year, Heroes of the Pacific, The Suffering and Soldner: Secret Wars.
Heroes of the Pacific is a World War II flight combat game for the PlayStation 2, XBox and the PC. This game puts you in the cockpit of some of the fiercest planes from that era. This game?s storyline takes place across 30 missions of dogfights and aerial combat. You will find yourself facing the Japanese pilots in several key battles in the Pacific Ocean. These battles take place at Midway Island, Iwo Jima, the Coral Sea and Guadalcanal.
The hit survival horror The Suffering was also on display, but this time for the PC. The Suffering put you in the middle of a maximum security prison where the death penalty was an every day occurrence. But something has gone wrong and now demons run wild down the halls. The chilling story line and multiple endings makes this game a truly frightening experience. Look for it to hit the PC?s later this month
Soldner: Secret Wars is a squad based war game for the PC. You can join up with 31 other players on a battle field over 18 million square miles in size. You will have at your disposal over 60 weapons to destroy your enemies and the surrounding environment. These weapons include machine guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers and missiles. The handheld weapons aren?t the only tools at your control. There are over 70 land and air vehicles to get behind the wheel of as you tear across the massive terrain. Not to mention the fact that Secret Wars also has a Customizable Multiplayer Mode that allows the gamers to create unique multiplayer scenarios involving rescuing hostages, protecting VIP?s, stealing secret documents and capturing vehicles.
