DATE: -0/5-/2004
COMPANY: Konami
PRODUCT:

Konami has a huge lineup this year with 23 games on it's list.

Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django for the Game Boy Advance is the sequel to last years hit Boktai. The premise of Boktai 2 is the same as its predecessor, kill vampires and demons using the power of the sun. I mean the real sun. A solar detector built into the cartridge allows the player to harness the actual sun to power up various moves and items in the game. Play at night and you?ll find your opponents are far more difficult. Boktai 2 will appear on store shelves in September.

Put yourself in the action with Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME. Utilizing the Playstation 2 EyeToy, DDR EXTREME let?s you enhance your DDR experience in new and interesting ways. With new modes like ?Hands & Feet? and ?Clean the Screen?, DDR EXTREME will challenge even the most hardcore DDR fans starting in September.

Xbox fans will have the option of grooving along with Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2. Not only will it feature Xbox Live support, it will also have new game modes such as Team Battle Mode and Synch Mode that will be exclusive to the Xbox version of the game. Expect DDR Ultramix 2 for the Xbox in November.

Here?s an interesting first. In 2005 Enthusia for the Playstation 2 will be the first racing game to graphically depict G-forces. With randomly generated tracks, weather conditions, and G-force representation, Enthusia hopes to create a racing game where winning depends on a driver?s skill rather than how much money you?ve pumped into your car.

Konami will also be releasing sequels in some of its most beloved series'. We'll see titles such as Frogger, Gradius V, Neo Contra, and Ys: The Ark of Naphishtim. We'll also see some games based on popular cartoons like Shaman King and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (which now includes 4 player cooperative play). Additionally we'll see new games in the Silent Hill and Suikoden series' with Silent Hill 4 and Suikoden IV. The more vocally inclined Konami fans will also be happy to hear that they'll see Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 coming out this July.

It appears to be the year of Yu-Gi-Oh! with four new Yu-Gi-Oh! titles ready for 2004, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum, Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos Joey, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshel of Destruction. We'll also see some brand new games: King Arthur, based on the upcoming movie, Nano Breaker, Phantom Crash 2050, and Rumble Roses, the sexy, new all-girl wrestling game.

The best is yet to come however, with the announcement of Metal Gear Acid for the PSP. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was also fully playable, and you can read more about that here.
