Time Traveling Predators

DATE: -0/5-/2004
COMPANY: Vivendi
PRODUCT: Predator: Concrete Jungle

The most notorious hunter in any science fiction world is going to be stalking its prey on your Xbox and PS2 this fall. Predator: Concrete Jungle is giving players the opportunity to stalk those pathetic humans in an urban environment from the 1930's up through 2030.

The story goes something like this: you play as a disgraced predator who is trying to wipe out the entire family of an organized crime boss through the decades, the family of the man who stole your honor. You will exact your revenge by traveling through time and utilizing the killer arsenal seen in the movies. Though this time-travel aspect is new to the world of predator, it?s a liberty the developers are taking to amplify the gameplay.

The weapons are nothing short of highly lethal. All the equipment from the movies is included: spear, wristblade, plasmacaster, spear gun, and smart disk. The vision modes are also available, as well as an added one that will indicate crucial areas of the game to keep it flowing, like highlighting a fence to climb up and get over a wall.

There will be around fifteen different single player levels, and multiplayer options, though not finalized, could turn up in the game. Predator will also feature a separate type of gameplay that is more along the lines of Grand Theft Auto, allowing you to freely roam the city and hunt at will, either honorably or relentlessly.

Predator should make it out before the holiday season, following soon after the release of the Aliens vs. Predator movie. Whenever it comes out, fans of movies both old and new will certainly find something appealing about this next generation title.
