SEGA is grooming its creative forces for use with the Sony Eye Toy. Sega Superstars will utilize popular SEGA properties in a collection of 12 mini games to be used with Sony?s peripheral. The title is in development at SEGA Sonic Studios under the direction of Yuji Naka, the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog.
The games in SEGA Superstars will incorporate franchises like Sonic, Virtua Fighter, House of the Dead, and Samba de Amigo. The large collection of relatively short games should help make this title a great party game and help push the innovative process of working with the Eye Toy.
SEGA is one of the first companies to utilize the Eye Toy in this kind of fashion. Superstars is almost a kind of experimental game concept, but the fun is definitely there. Considering SEGA?s prime target age, which seems to be lowering every year, we can expect to see more of these fun little games from them in the future.
