Fighting Chaos!!

DATE: -0/5-/2004
COMPANY: SNK
PRODUCT: SVC Chaos

What do you get when you take 36 of the world's most popular Capcom and SNK brawlers and pit them against each other? SNK's newest entry into the Xbox fighting line-up, SVC Chaos.

Combining characters from Capcom and SNK franchises like The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Street Fighter and Samurai Showdown, SVC Chaos builds upon the Capcom vs SNK formula and gives it that unique SNK touch. Brawls take place over eight difficulty levels as you battle sixteen boss characters and four hidden player characters. Aside from some the fighting genre's greatest fighters, SVC Chaos will also include special guest fighters like Mega Man. The game will also play host to Shiki and Athena, both of which are exclusive to the Xbox.

SVC Chaos will include multiple play modes like Versus, Arcade and Practice. During fights, players will be able to push the limits of their fighting skills. Characters will be able to max out three levels of power on their gauge, increasing the effectiveness of their special moves. Players will even be able to take their special moves a step beyond Super Special with exclusive Exceed Moves, which inflict maximum pain. Combat isn't all about power; players will also be able to manipulate the timings of their attacks using the Forward Step move.

When it comes to looks, SVC Chaos delivers in traditional 2D style. Characters are smoothly animated and share a style unique to other fighters. Gone are the bright colors and anime look. Instead, the entire game has a much darker tone similar to other SNK fighters like King of Fighters or Fatal Fury.

As if the package couldn't get any better, players can take their skills online with Xbox Live.

SVC Chaos ships this September.
