John Madden Makes Breakthrough Medical Discovery

DATE: 2002-06-03 21:24:10

The medical world was shocked at this year?s E3 when famed TV commentator John Madden identified a nerve previously unknown to the medical world. The Optifraculon, a nerve extending from the brain to the fingers, was discovered during the testing phase of Madden?s newest game ? Madden 2003.

According to Madden?s study, prolonged exposure to games, particularly Madden football, develops the nerve ? which is why it has remained undiscovered for so long. Before a packed crowd at Sony?s press conference, Madden unveiled his discovery while trying to prove his hypothesis that longer exposure to gaming, which he believes enlarges the nerve, results in subjects increased gaming ability. To test his theory, Madden called on two test subjects: Dante' Culpepper, an 8-year veteran of Madden football, and Jevon Kearse, a 6-year veteran.

Unfortunately, due to time constraints Madden?s results were inconclusive. Madden was not discouraged.

He, along with his new partner Al Michaels, hope that since this year?s version of the game is online, he will have ample time to test his theories. It should be noted that PS2 owners will be the only ones allowed to participate in experiments this year.
