Make your OWN 3D fighter game.

Really. That's what the folks at Agetec are offering with their new title, Fighter Maker 2. You get to put the PS2's power to your own use and create the fighting game of your dreams.

Do you have an idea for a character that is truly unique? Are you aggravated that your favorite martial art is woefully under-represented in games? Want to develop your own style of martial art - without suffering the lumps and bruises in real life? Now the power is yours. According to Agetec, with Fighter Maker 2 gamers will be given the opportunity to "create their own cast of characters, complete with special moves, martial arts styles and techniques, and a variety of custom outfits." That means you control the choreography, sound FX, frame speed and amount of impact for each character's moves.

Need something to go on? Not to worry - you'll have over 600 sample moves, throws and combos to play with - then you can make your own. A "Real-Time Auto Motion Edit System" fills in the blanks when developing moves; gamers only need to set up the first and last positions of the move and the PS2 handles the rest. Fighter Maker 2 includes 6 distinct fighting styles totaling over 100 moves. These fighting styles are: Karate, Jeet Kune Do (ala Bruce Lee), Tai Chi, Vale-Tudo, Freestyle and Pro Wrestling.

As for playing the game, 'Play Game' mode pits you against pre-made opponents (either using your custom made character or one of the included ones). a 'VS Mode' allows two players to select their own custom fighters and battle to see who's created the best fighter.

Agetec's Fighter Maker 2 is scheduled for release in September 2002.

"...know, I really don't. I have no idea how they got there in the first place. The thing is, they weren't right. -They just weren't 'right', you know - l#ke from ##i# pla##t or su#pin'... They was way too quick and they looked like they were out of one a those 'Terminator' movies or sumpin' only with cameras and sh*t insteada guns... They moved real silent and then 'zshwishzz' - they was gone. Just like that..."
