Tom & Jerry All-Ages Brawler From NewKidCo

NewKidCo presented their ?all-ages brawler? at E3, a Tom & Jerry licensed game called War of the Whiskers. The character animations are excellent and bring out the fun frenzy of the cartoon. The environments we saw had lots of good detail, and are full of items that can be used in a lighthearted ?attack? on the other characters on-screen. In keeping with the ?all-ages? theme, items are usually more parts slapstick comedy than violent, so you?ll see pots, pans and broomsticks used in the predictable ways, things you would expect in the cartoon show. There are plenty of environmental effects that keep you on your toes as well, such as the avalanche that would periodically sweep through in the snowy mountain level we played. The graphics are really top notch, the controls felt tight, all the great characters from the cartoons are here, and gamers will have War of the Whiskers for PSone and PS2 this Summer, plus a Gamecube version to follow in the Fall.
