Gamers who had the experience of trying Volition's amazing FPS game, Red Faction, have been looking forward to the sequel for some time. Most people would probably be content with about 10-15 more hours of what we playing in the first game, but THQ previewed a demo of Red Faction 2 at E3?that will promises to take this franchise to another level. ?If you?remember, the hottest feature of the first Red Faction was the Geo-Mod?system, which took destructible environments to a whole new level. ?Weapons,?especially the heavier variety, could blast right through a wall, and?carving out a new passageway with a rocket launcher or satchel charge never?got boring. ?The Geo-Mod system has been preserved in RF2, and one new exciting feature is the addition of squads. ?Up to 4 characters can join you?during the game, creating a team that doesn't so much answer to your beck?and call (as in X-Squad or others), but just adds a lot to the environment?of Red Faction 2. ?This one still looked a bit grainy at E3, but considering the pretty visuals of the first?game, it's a sure bet that Red Faction fans will have a lot to look forward?to this Fall.
