AL!

Remember that game Mortal Kombat we were so addicted to a few years back? I still remember you, me, and Bill staying up all night on playing that game in the Oval Office! I still laugh every time I think about how wild the media got when I was complaining about the game. If they only knew the only reason I was saying anything was because I was so frustrated that I couldn't beat Shang Tsung!

While I was at the Midway booth at E3, I saw the coolest thing - MORTAL KOMBAT: DEADLY ALLIANCE!! All of our favorite characters are back including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, and those two hotties Sonya and Kitana. LOL - Remember when you were trying to convince Tipper to wear that Sonya outfit? There are even some new fighters (rounding out to about 20 total).

Now, I know what you are thinking. 'But Joe, you hated Mortal Kombat 4 and said you lost interest in the series.' Well, yes I did but after seeing Deadly Alliance, I think the game looks like it is going to get the game back to the way it used to be. Of course all the blood and gore we loved is going to be back. I soooo cannot wait to rip your head off! Maybe we can invite W over to play with us! Then maybe you can beat him!!!! I was not able to see any of the fatalities, but Midway assured me that they would be even more spectacular and brutal that previous ones.

One of the coolest things about the games is that now your character can change fighting styles. While I was playing with Scorpion, I was able to switch between two fighting styles just by pressing the shoulder button. I was even able to use a sword and slash my opponent. Of course, this does not slow the game down at all and helps it to keep the fast feel of previous games. I am sooo excited about Mortal Kombat! I cannot wait until it comes out this winter! Best of all - it's coming out for all three systems. In fact, I already have it preordered for all of them!!
