Hold On! Dropship Coming!

No need to panic or lose large amounts of blood waiting for this one. It's 100% complete and should be out this Summer. If you remember seeing the hype and weren't really sure what Dropship was, I can tell you that it looks very sweet. Split between several 'modes,' you'll get a chance to do fairly arcade-style flight combat sections and then transition to a driving section with ground vehicles. Finally, you'll be able to take on other vehicles in a rail-shooting mode that has you providing cover to the troops you've been transporting since the flying stage. The best thing about Dropship is that it keeps things fresh by including these different styles of gameplay and gives the entire game a fast pace with plenty of action. Graphics are nice, and you'll be able to pilot 6 different aircraft and about 5 ground vehicles. 4 campaigns take you into different battlefields, and each campaign is composed of about 4-5 missions.

This one is coming right around the corner in June. If you have a PS2 you're rockin', because this isn't due for any other console right now. If you're not hardcore enough for something like Colony Wars but want more than a pretty flying or driving game - basically, if you like to blow crap up - Dropship might suit your needs perfectly. A focus on action with a heavy tutorial mode to bring players up to speed and looser arcade-style game mechanics should make Dropship a pure joy to pick up and play this Summer. Rather than deal with the troop action or take a more strategic approach, BAM! shows us what it might be like to be the guy behind the scenes who pulls everyone's tail out of the fire but doesn't get to bask in the glory. Now we just need 'Medic: The Game' to fill out the full battlefield perspective. ;)

"...know, I really don't. I have no idea how they got there in the first place. The thing is, they weren't right. -They just weren't 'right', you know - l#ke from ##i# pla##t or su#pin'... They was way too quick and they looked like they were out of one a those 'Terminator' movies or sumpin' only with cameras and sh*t insteada guns... They moved real silent and then 'zshwishzz' - they was gone. Just like that..."
