Capcom offers up some great handheld titles this year, and only half of them are Mega Man games.

The Mega Man Battle Network series is showing no signs of slowing down. Mega Man Battle Network 5 will appear in three different forms. Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman and Team Colonel will be for the Game Boy Advance, and they will appear in a combined form on the Nintendo DS as Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS.

Capcom seems to be pumping out Mega Man Zero games like they were for the NES, but hey, I?m not complaining. Mega Man Zero 4 will mark the return of the not nearly as mysterious as he thinks he is, Dr. Weil. Like always, Mega Man Zero will get some new weapons and we will see yet another new Cyber Elf system. This time it appears that you have only three elves, but you can mix and match power to each for some interesting results. Mega Man Zero hasn?t made the jump to DS yet, so expect this bad boy on Game Boy Advance.

The most original title of the bunch is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS. Based on a Japanese detective series, you play Phoenix Wright, defense attorney. Each case contains an investigation phase, which plays like a classic adventure game of sorts, and a court phase. The touch screen will be used for examining objects and during court you can yell ?Objection? using the mic.

Viewtiful Joe will also make his handheld debut on the Nintendo DS in Viewtiful Joe DS. Viewtiful Joe: DS will make clever use of the touch screen by allowing you to splice and edit the actual game ?film? to solve puzzles. PSP owners will also get a taste of Joe in a portable version of Viewtiful Joe: VFX Battle.
