When someone has been shot 9 times, including taking a .9mm bullet to the face, and has been known to openly lament about people not taking shots at this bulletproof SUV, there's only two things you can do: make sure you do everything in your power to not piss him off or turn his life into a video game. Not wanting to take option #1, VU Games has collaborated with rap star 50 Cent to develop 50 Cent: Bulletproof, a free-roaming action game set to release later this year.

For those not familiar with 50's life, a quick rundown is in order.

Born on the streets in Queens, 50 lost his family at an early age to violence. Growing up without a father, 50 was raised by his mother who was found dead under mysterious circumstances before he could reach his teens, leaving him an orphan. 50 was soon sent to live with his grandparents. Though good providers, 50 wanted more -- a desire that led to lengthy rap sheet and a small fortune. After the birth of his son, 50 decided to pursue a life in music. This decision soon lead to his teaming up with Eminem and Dr. Dre, making him one of the most sought after newcomers in over a decade.

Written by Terry Winter, the Emmy-Award winning producer of "The Sopranos" and writer of 50's biopic "Get Rich or Die Tryin'", 50 Cent: Bulletproof tells the story of 50's life on the streets. Taking the premise that 50 never became a rap star, Bulletproof finds 50 caught in a web of corruption, double-crosses and shady deals as he navigates the bloody back-alleys of New York's drug underworld. Along the way, 50 will collaborate with unlikely allies, as well as members of the G-Unit, as he takes on some of the city's most dangerous crime families. He'll also interact with pawnbrokers, weapons dealers, shady doctors and even music bootleggers. His mission will eventually find him in the middle of an international conspiracy with devastating implications.

Bulletproof will feature new, exclusive music tracks recorded by 50 specifically for the game. In addition, players will be able to mix and match their own freestyle rhymes in "The Lab".

50 Cent: Bulletproof is set for release on the Xbox, PS2 and PSP later this year.
