Luc Besson Movie to Become Game

Company: Atari
Date: 05/15/2006
Avaliable On:

Arthur & The Minimoys, the new Luc Besson ("The Professional", "The Fifth Element", "Point of No Return", "The Transporter" and IMDb knows how many other movies) film and book series, will have a video-game counterpart on several different systems with the movie's North American release.

The game will follow not only Arthur, but also his friends Princess Selenia and her brother Bétamèche as they try to save the world of the Minimoys. Players will be able to switch between each of the three characters at will and, when not being controlled by the gamer, the A.I. will take over and help to dispatch with the enemies. Gameplay elements include driving, flying on insects and basic puzzle solving.

"When you make a children’s film, your primary intent is to introduce kids to a new world that is both fantastic and exciting. Atari’s video game will keep the film’s adventure alive by allowing players to step into the characters’ shoes to explore and try to save the world of the Minimoys," said Writer, Director and Chairman of EuropaCorp, Luc Besson.

This game will come out on the PS2, PSP, Nintendo DS, GBA and PC.
