Bandicoot Crashes onto the DS
Product: Crash Boom Bang!
Company: Vivendi Universal
Date: 05/20/2006
Avaliable On:

This October, Crash Bandicoot will make his first appearance on the Nintendo DS with Crash Boom Bang!, though this game won't be the normal platformer style we are use to seeing him in. Instead, Boom Bang will be a collection of mini-games that will not only allow for multi-player action, but also allow players to communicate via the touch screen and actually bet on the outcome of the mini-games.

The game's revolutionary "Touch Panel Communication" system allows players to send sounds, speech and text to each other all at the tap of the touch-screen. Basically, picture a beefed-up PictoChat, but in-game. Why would you want to use this feature? Basically all of the mini-games are races. The player that finishes first gets the most points, so not only can you use the Touch Panel Communications to set up games, but you should also be able to distract opposing players as well.

Crash Boom Bang! offers 40 action-oriented mini-games that use not only the graphical powers of the system, but also its touch-screen and microphone, meanwhile the game's betting system lets you add a whole new level to gameplay because the more money you have, the more collectibles you can buy from the game's store.

Look for this new Crash title to hit stores at the $29.99 price point.
