One thing that you can be sure of pretty much every year now is a new appearance of King of Fighters and Metal Slug at the SNK E3 booth. This year was no different, although they've got some pretty cool stuff, especially for you Metal Slug fans.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Metal Slug, SNK brings us Metal Slug Anthology on both the PSP and the Wii. This huge compilation brings together Metal Slug, MS2, MS3, MS4, MS5 and MSX in one sweet package, all arcade-perfect ports of 2D side-scrolling goodness. The PSP version will feature wi-fi support, so you can whip up on your friends. You Nintendo handheld folks aren't being left out because the original Metal Slug is coming to the GBA, so old-school gamers with a GBA in hand can get ready for that.

King of Fighters 2006 for the PS2 is the latest iteration in the series. Continuing the series in 3D, there will be Challenge and Party modes with mini-games in addition to the standard fighting modes. There will be 38 characters with 14 being hidden and 4 all new fighters. Classic SNK characters Billy Kane and Lula Diamond make their first 3D appearance here, along with a stage called NEOGEO Land. Perhaps a little something special for the fans of the series? There will also be English and Japanese voice options for those who want their Japanese fighter to sound correct.

Finally, yet another card fighting game comes to the table. Card Fighters DS brings your favorite characters from the SNK and Capcom universes and allows you to trade them like baseball cards. This is a strategy game with RPG leanings and it has over 300 cards. Think Yu Gi Oh! but with the SNK/Capcom characters you know and love.

We'll bring you full reviews as these games release.
