Remember them? Intellivision? They made that console... you remember. Whatever happened to them?

You may be surprised to hear it, but they're alive and kicking. They're behind the Intellivision 10 Video Game System, a TV Play System that looks like a old-school controller and simply plugs into your TV, allowing you to play 10 classic retro Intellivision hits from years gone by. In fact, they're introducing a 2nd edition that will include classics such as Deadly Discs and Crown of Kings as well as super-enhanced versions of AstroSmash and Space Armada.

Not only that, but Intellivision is embracing the gamers that are embracing the retro classics by introducing IntellivisionMusic.com, which offers two music compilations. Intellivision In Hi-Fi, which features music inspired by or played on the classic Intellivision video game system. The self-titled debut EP of micro-music phenom, 8 Bit Weapon, showcases the artist's exciting style that includes creating modern music using classic video game consoles, vintage synthesizers and obsolete computers.

"The Generation creating the art, media and music of today don't remember a time when video games didn't exist," said Keith Robinson, president of Intellivision. "Through Intellivision Music and Intellivision Gear, we intend to be an outlet for artists to reflect on the fun and exciting ways gaming has shaped their lives and our culture."

So, if you're looking for a stroll down memory lane or just some good old-school gaming fun, check out Intellivision Music and Intellivision Gear and see what it's all about for yourself.
