id Software and Activision are once again putting together a new multiplayer Quake game that is bound to have a lot of people foaming at the mouth.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a FPS game that seems to focus more on the team than the individual. With five different classes for each side, and each class being able to deploy specific weapons and vehicles, in order to achieve the given objective, team members must plan and work together.

This First Person Strategy Shooter is built upon id's new MegaTexture engine and really does a good job in pushing out every possible polygon your system can handle.

In the demo available at E3, players took control of the Strogg and had to keep the enemy GDF (Global Defense Force) from getting onto the base and destroying it. The game gave players a brief description on the path that the enemy would have to take and what would be needed in order to stop them. First the GDF had to cross a destroyed bridge, then they had to go through a tunnel and finally use covert-operatives to sneak onto the base and destroy it.

At each strategic point, players of certain classes could call for everything from mounted guns to anti-missile artillery in order to hinder the invading army's progress.

With its variety of classes and weapons, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars definitely looks like it will be a great game for fans of online onslaught.
