Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction brings the PS2 hit action-platformer to the PS3 and into next gen for the first time ever.

Insomniac Games took the engine they used for the PS3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man and re-invented it to run even smoother and better for this new Ratchet & Clank game. With over 90 bones in Ratchet's face alone (mind you on the PS2, he had 112 in his entire body), the characters in this game will be more expressive and lifelike than ever before. This, combined with the unique visual style that has become a staple to the Ratchet & Clank line, as well as its inventive weapons will make Tools of Destruction the best PS3 game yet.

When the dynamic duo decide to go off for a vacation, they find themselves in the midst of an attack by the Emperor Percival Tachyon. Now the two characters must build weapons that will do everything from utterly destroy their enemies to make them dance to 70's disco music.

Throughout the game, Ratchet will begin to unravel his Lombaxes origins and the history of his race. But Tachyon is also very interested in this information, so our two heroes will have to stay on their toes.

Two of the new weapons in Ratchet's arsenal are the Plasma Beasts and the Tornado Launcher. The Tornado Launcher is a unique weapon in that you will need to use the SIXAXIS controller to drive your tornado to your opponents in an attempt to suck up as many of them as possible.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction takes to the PS3 this Fall.
