At this year's E3, we were able to get a sneak peek at the new Iron Man game being published by Sega. Unfortunately, the game is in such early production there isn't a whole lot we can say about it.

The armor in Iron Man looks awesome; the design and style is based off of the version being used in the upcoming film. But that isn't all that is. While the gameplay itself isn't directly tied to the movie, the developers at Secret Level were able to get the movie's director, Jon Favreau, into the development house to have a look at the style and animations of their Iron Man, so that it can gel more with the look and feel of the game. One change that Favreau suggested was to make Iron Man's flight a bit shakier and less steady. Where the game had a very smooth and comic book feel to it, the slight instability of the current look gives it a much more believable feel.

Many of Iron Man's weapons shine through in the game. He has blasts that shoot out of his hands as well as a more powerful beam that needs to be charged up and is released from his chest. Iron Man himself can fly up to 300 miles per hour and he can turn enemy weapons against them. It was demonstrated several times in our meeting how Iron Man can grab missiles from the air and lob them back at their launcher (or some other enemy) for massive damage.

The developers also added a new weapon to Tony Stark's arsenal, guided weapons. While this hasn't really ever shown up in the Iron Man suit in the past, the developers felt like this was a needed addition in order to make it a better game.

All versions of this game is being developed by the folks at Secret Level with the exception of the Wii and DS titles, which are being created by A2M. But both companies are working together to not only create a unique experience for each system, but also a similar one to give all of the games a similar structure, look and feel.
