It seems like there were very few, if any, games that are planning on being released for the Game Boy Advance this year. What games are coming out also seem to have a spot in the DS lineup as well. Midway was no exception. While the company is putting out four Nintendo handheld games, only one of them will also be showing up on the GBA.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat is a port of the original arcade version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 along with the addition of the ML Puzzle Combat Mode from Mortal Kombat: Deception (and yes, you can play it online). Ultimate Mortal Kombat will have over 20 playable characters, 15 arenas and, of course, all of the various finishing moves (Fatalities, Babalities, Friendships, Animalities and Stage Fatalities) that made MK3 the hit it was. Ultimate Mortal Kombat is scheduled for release this Winter.
The Bee Game (not related to the upcoming Bee Movie staring Jerry Seinfield) shows gamers just what itís like to be a little bee in a big hive. You play as Maya the Bee and her friend Willie as they search for their friends who have been blown away because of a huge storm. You save your friends through a series of mini-games and find clues in the meadow, dark forest, blue pond, deep caverns and the garden. This is the only title Midway is putting out for both GBA and DS.
Also scheduled to come out this Winter for the DS is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invaders. You play as imaginary friend, Blooregard Q. Kazoo (or Bloo for short) as you attempt to save Madam Foster from the invading Space Nut Boogies. In the game, you will encounter several characters from the show like Mac, Coco, Eduardo and explore everything from the highest tower to the lowest kitchen. Fans of the show will definitely find many memorable locations in this game. Foster's is expected to ship with an E ESRB rating.
