Konami's two new Wii titles not only take advantage of the system's non-standard control scheme, but also seem to be designed for very specific niche audiences.

Dewy's Adventure gives you control of a new character who can transform between liquid, ice and gaseous states in order to slide around levels and attack enemies. From the creators of Elebits, Dewy's Adventure uses the Wii-mote to tilt the world and slide the cute little guy all around the world. Designed to be played with the controller sideways (like a normal gamepad), you use the (1) and (2) buttons to perform various combos and the D-pad to change Dewy's state. From what I got to play, not only is Dewy's Adventure a cute game, but it is just plain fun.

The other Wii title that Konami is putting out is Fishing Master. Using the Wii-mote and the Nunchuck, you will have to cast your line and reel in your catches. The game has tons of locations and over 100 fish to catch. In the time I got to play this game, I found that it takes a good bit of work to get used to the scheme and timing, but fans of this type of game should really like what they find.

Neither title will appeal to the mass audience, but both definitely have their place.
