Namco announced at this year's E3 that its much acclaimed Eternal Sonata is making its way to the PlayStation 3 this Fall (Fall 2008). Eternal Sonata was originally released on the Xbox 360 and won awards and critical acclaim due to its originality and beauty.

Eternal Sonata provided a unique role-playing experience where you get to travel along with Frederic Chopin (the composer), exploring a magical cel-shaded dream world inspired by his music. The game features a "light and dark" mechanic which allows players to execute different special attacks depending on whether they stand in light or shadow.

The PS3 version of Eternal Sonata is going to feature "a wide selection of new game content, and new cut-scenes and features." This will include additional playable characters (Serenade and Crescendo), and the ability for players to customize the look of party members with various new outfits. Players can also enjoy several all-new dungeons, and even experience different endings.
