Blitz is Back
Product: Blitz: The League II
Company: Midway

Blitz: The League II is the sequel to the game that has sold more than one million copies. The League II doesn’t just continue the same franchised gameplay. Now, you will get to play through a story mode created by Peter Egan (ESPN’s Playmakers).

Blitz: The League II also introduces a few new features including Precision-Aim Tackles. This new hit-targeting control system lets you inflict serious pain on very specific parts of your opponents body. This, combined with realistic injuries from the game’s classic “Late Hits” system, means that all of those pinpoint attacks are going to look gruesomely good in HD.

Blitz will also feature a system that lets you slow down the game at the touch of a button and unleash special offensive and defensive maneuvers called Clash Modes. And, when you do score a touchdown, a simple button press lets you then perform your own touchdown celebration.

Campaign Mode also returns for The League II. This mode will put players in complete control as they venture through brutal on-field competition and entertaining off-the-field drama, all in the hopes of reaching the League Championship. And of course, Blitz will offer a variety of online options including Campaign and Quick-Play Versus.

Look for this new brutal Football game to hit the shelves this Fall for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
