Finally, you can have Soul Calibur in the palm of your hands, okay, not the sword itself, but the latest game in the long-lasting fighting series.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny is the first portable SC title, and from what I've seen, the big game shrinks down rather nicely. As any self-respecting PSP-based fighting game should, Broken Destiny features both a single player experience and head-to-head multiplayer matches over an ad-hoc connection. Of course, the single-player experience also has a lot of the staple modes like Vs., Arcade and Survival, but there are also a few features exclusive to the PSP.

For one, there is a new story mode for the players, but one of the biggest exclusive feature is the huge and robust character creation system that allows you to define your own fighter. Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny also includes a new training mode that helps get newer players into the swing of things, as well as lets veterans practice the basics. This mode features over 80 exercise missions or you can simply practice against opponents risk free.

Broken Destiny is scheduled for release in Q3 of this year, so series fans who have been wanting a portable fighter won't have long to wait.
