At E3 2009, Ignitition showed a new RPG on the horizon for those DS owners out there who are tired of Japan getting all the cool RPGs. Nostalgia uses real world locations in an alternate reality steampunk setting during the 19th century where airships are the main mode of travel. Eddie is your main character and his dad was a famous explorer, although he has gone missing. Fortunately, dear old dad left behind his awesome ship, the Maverick, and it'll be up to Eddie and his pals to find his dad. Nostalgia features turn-based dungeon style RPG gameplay and airship battles. The art style is decidedly anime, but this should be of no surprise since Tecmo released the game in Japan last year. While Nostalgia doesn't feature any touch screen support, both screens will be utilized. Look for Nostalgia in September when we'll bring you a full review. |
