30 and Ageless

Well, Pac-Man turned 30 years old this year and to celebrate, not only did Namco Bandai throw a blast of a party at E3 with lots of Pac-Man games to play, but there’s also a new Wii title called Pac-Man Party coming this Fall, so everyone can celebrate the event. Containing over 45 mini-games, Pac-Man Party is a game meant for party play. Players will progress around game boards and each spot they land upon means another mini-game. It can be anything from frantically shooting balloons down to rolling a snowball down a mountain. The point of all of this is to get the most cookies and to speed things up, players will want to build the most number of castles for added wealth, sort of like a Pac-Man-opoly. Players can take on the full game in Story Mode, jump in for some quick play in Mini-Game Mode or bust out a group of friends for Party Mode, where up to 4 players can join in. During their quests, players can utilize Power Cookies which make the player a jumbo-sized version of themselves, giving them the edge. But be careful, because your opponents can knock you for a loop and you could lose the cookies you’ve earned by winning mini-games. For those wanting an old school fix, the original arcade versions of Pac-Man, Galaga and Dig-Dug will also be included. The party starts this Fall, exclusively on Wii!
