Pick a Controller... Any Controller

Attention all camp-dwellers... Whether you're a Wii-ficianado, an X-boxer or you simply prefer the PS-triple, you have a certain controller you're comfortable with and that's keeping you from being able to enjoy another system. Well, Raptorfire is here to liberate you...

Raptorfire is a Miami, FL-based manufacturer of gaming mods, such as their chips which, when installed inside of Xbox 360 or PS3 controllers, improve and enhance controller functionality by adding features such as rapid fire, "drop shot," fast reload, and other popular modifications that are central to most first-person shooting games.

That's all well and good, but the new product that stands to free you from your limited gaming camp is a small little wonder called, "Cronus." This revolutionary device is a little USB dongle looking thing that will let you use your choice of controller on your choice of gaming platform. The Cronus is designed to work on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC. That's right... a single device is cross-compatible with all of those consoles. With the same Cronus, you can use a Wii controller on your Xbox 360, use your Xbox 360 controller on your PS3 or use your PS3 controller on your PC. You can switch controllers between systems with ease using the Cronus and assigning a controller to a system is as simple as synchronizing them with their original systems; you simply hit the "Sync" button on the Cronus, as you would a console.

Configuration of the Cronus can be done using any standard Windows PC. The Cronus features nine customizable slots that can be loaded with configurations for any of your favorite games. Gamers can even download programmable mods to the device that will let you add functionality to the controller without the need to install a separate mod chip.

Cronus is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and, if it works as well as it claims, it will really open up a whole new world of gaming. Check back for a full review when we get a unit in-house for review.
