E3, GREE... GREE, E3

When you go to E3 for a few years, you see certain companies again and again. From time to time, however, a new company enters the fray. E3 2012 was the first time that GREE had a booth at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

GREE was showing off a lineup that included several social mobile games and, behind-closed-doors... their new GREE platform. The list of titles shown spanned a variety of genres, with 26 different games from publishers and developers around the world, including two titles from recently-acquired Funzio.

Some of the games exhibited at GREE's E3 booth included:

Driland (GREE)

Driland is a popular card battle game from Japan. You'll explore dungeons and fight monsters to collect treasure and hunter cards. Play cooperatively with friends to defeat the strongest beasts and gather rare valuables to strengthen your deck as you complete quests.

Wacky Motors (GREE)

Players utilize over-the-top weapons and flashy tricks to cross the finish line first in this fast-paced, user-friendly cart racing game. Collect custom parts and customize your cart for the utmost in performance... and style.

Closet Wars (Crowdstar)

Crowdstar's never-before-seen Closet Wars was being shown at GREE's booth. Closet Wars places the player in the position of a fashion designer seeking to rise to the top and attract A-list clients by designing fabulous outfits and traveling across the fashion world seeking inspiration. Closet Wars is a social game, allowing players to trade garments and upgrade their looks in their bid to rule the fashion world.

Shaking Vegas (Vostu)

Vostu's newest mobile game, Shaking Vegas allows users to play the hottest casino game machine and become a legend! Shaking Vegas is a fun, fast and addictive match-3 collapse game that features unlockable upgrades. Users will also be able to play in weekly tournaments competing with their friends on social platforms.

Resident Evil VS. (tentative title) (CAPCOM)

Resident Evil arrives on the GREE platform with two social-enabled multiplayer modes: fight together with your buddies in Multi-play Mode or try to survive a never-ending battle in Team Play Mode.

Gang Domination (Gameloft)

Launch Date: June 2012
Gang Domination is a social card game that takes place in a world of powerful gangs. Each gangster is represented with an artfully-designed card. As the boss, you must lead your gang to complete quests and defeat enemy bosses alone or with friends. Users can also challenge rivals in Player Vs. Player Mode.
