DOA Day is Coming

TECMO KOEI America announced today that the newest installment of the famed Dead or Alive series, Dead or Alive 5 by Team NINJA, is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 25, 2012, which they have dubbed DOA Day.

“Our team is focused on making September 25th a special ‘DOA Day’ for all fans of intense martial arts combat,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “As we approach the finish line for development of DEAD OR ALIVE 5, it’s exciting to see all the signature characters, fighting styles, and destructible fighting stages come together to create a powerful DEAD OR ALIVE experience.”
Set to thrill past Dead or Alive fighting fans, Dead or Alive 5 incorporates a host of martial arts fighting techniques with players taking on the role of both past DOA cast members, along with some new faces. It has been revealed that certain characters from Virtua Fighter will be joining the roundup. Both Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant of Virtua Fighter have been annouced so far.

In a brawler taking place in exotic locations across the planet, DOA5 players will experience new 3D stages that not only change up the traditional DOA look, but will also be dynamic, forcing players to use their ever-changing environment as part of their strategy.
