Kunai Range of Stereo Gaming Headsets

KUNAI: n. -a Japanese tool possibly derived from the masonry trowel. Two variations are the short kunai (shô-kunai) and the big kunai (dai-kunai?). It is a good example of a very basic tool which, in the hands of a martial arts expert, could be used as a multi-functional weapon. It is commonly associated with the ninja, who used it to gouge holes in walls.

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. has announced the Kunai range of stereo gaming headsets being released under the Company’s Tritton audio brand.

I'm not sure what the Kunai reference is intended to indicate, but ninja were resourceful and any tool they used had multiple uses, so the Kunai headsets may be geared toward being usable with multiple systems. Then again, they may be mainly intended for gouging through walls... time will tell.

The Kunai headset is expected to be available this holiday season on the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and the PS3.

"The release of the Kunai range expands our TRITTON gaming headsets to all major hand-held, console, and PC gaming platforms."
- Darren Richardson, the President/CEO of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc
