Man's Best Friend

Just looking at the screens of Valiant Hearts: The Great War, you get a sense of the sadness and heaviness of the title. Taking place during World War I and based off of actual letters from those fighting in the trenches, Valiant Hearts: The Great War takes place during the time period of 1914-1918 and follows four fighters and their beloved canine companion. Emile, a Frenchman; Lucky Freddie, a British soldier; Anna, a medic; and finally, Karl, a German will all face tremendous horrors as they fight to survive in this stylized comic book animated adventure. They will rely heavily on their constant companion, a dog named Walt who can sneak under barbed wire and into shell holes when his human counterpart cannot, helping to solve puzzles and avoid enemy soldiers. You'll visit actual locations from WWI such as Reims and Montfaucon, working your way across the French countryside, crawling through grimy trenches and snow-covered fields, even participating in actual battles such as the Battle of the Sommel and the Battle of the Marne, all in the hopes of one day being reunited with your family members. Valiant Hearts: The Great War is slated for release in just a few weeks on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
