The Midnight Channel Presents: P-1 Climax

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a bit more of a sequel than other fighting games with words like "Ultra" or "Super" attached. Building on the success of Persona 4 Arena, which managed to win over both Persona and fighting game fans, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax drops new characters and a brand-new story into the mix.

Following the events of the first game, the Midnight Channel begins a new broadcast, once again drawing the members of the Investigation Team and SEEs into a new fighting tournament, the P-1 Climax. All of the original characters are back, as well as some new faces from both Persona 3 and Persona 4. Among the newcomers are Yukari, Rise, and Junpei, as well as a new character named Sho, who serves as one of the tournament’s main threats. In addition, shadow versions of all characters will make the roster, offering completely different fighting mechanics for each character.

Similar to its predecessor, each character follows their own story, offering numerous paths through the main storyline. Each character’s story offers new details on the tournament’s overall story, as well as insight into each character’s individual storyline, offering more replay value for Persona fans who might want more than random battles.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax hits the PS3 Fall 2014. For now, check out the E3 trailer.
