Two New Tomb Raiders on the Horizon

At Microsoft's E3 2014 Press Conference, the sequel to 2013's re-imagined smash hit Tomb Raider was announced. Where Tomb Raider showed Lara Croft learning how to survive when thrust into a dangerous and life-threatening situation, Rise of the Tomb Raider looks to explore more of Croft's darker side that has since developed. While the trailer didn't show much more than her taking chances and throwing herself headlong into dangerous situations, all the while going to therapy to talk things out about her past, we did see a side of her that didn't hesitate to take out another human being. From the looks of it, others will be learning to survive what Ms. Croft will be dishing out. Right now, it looks to hit shelves during the holiday season of 2015 and it'll be on Xbox One for sure, with more details of other systems to come as news breaks.

On the other side of the coin, we see a sequel to the old 360 top-down puzzle/platformer Lara Croft game, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Instead of 2 player co-op, you get 4-player co-op in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Not only that, but you'll get to play as Lara Croft, her fellow archeologist and rival Carter, plus the wife and child of Osiris himself, Horus and Isis. Being a god brings certain powers and these will certainly be handy as you traverse dangerous landscapes on your quest. Look for it on PC, Ps4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned as more details are released as E3 progresses.
