War Thunder Takes To The Cloud(Lift)s

Gaijin Entertainment showcased their Free-to-Play MMO combat game, War Thunder at E3 2014. War Thunder is based on the second World War. The aviation side of things features a wide variety of planes (hundreds of 'em), with detailed cockpits, weapon upgrades, and the ability to improve flying skills with each mission. However, there's more to the game than just aviation; War Thunder also features armored vehicles and naval fleets to allow you to dominate your opponents on land, in the air and at sea.

War Thunder is available online now. You can download it today on the official War Thunder website...

...OR... you can try it out on CloudLift, OnLive's recently-launced supscription service. War Thunder has announced that it will be available on OnLive's new cloud offering, CloudLift, which is currently offering a 7-day free trial - and, since War Thunder is available for an instant play on CloudLift, players can experience playing a game on Cloudlift without investing money in a title first.

"We're thrilled to partner with the talented team at Gaijin and provide the convenience of instant access to all the intense, richly detailed action of War Thunder to their users. By expanding the CloudLift subscription to include a free-to-play MMO such as this one, we can now offer content in the subscription for our players to access right away, anywhere on a wide range of devices, even before they own any of the traditional download games."
- Mark Jung, Executive Chairman, OnLive

Playing War Thunder on CloudLift reduces the minimum required system specifications, since the graphics are being generated in the cloud and are merely being streamed to your PC or Mac. In fact, the game can even be played on an Android tablet using a Bluetooth controller, making War Thunder playable on a mobile device for the first time.

So, if you've wanted to try out the whole OnLive thing or if you're computer's specs aren't quite up to running games like War Thunder, you may want to check out the 7-day free trial. Visit the official OnLive website for more information.
