Mecha-Naruto and 99 Other New Characters

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is the follow-up to 2013ís Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and it contains a couple of interesting new surprises.

While the game boasts the standard jump in visual quality, rich environments and new characters (over 100 this time around), it also introduces an original character designed by series creator Masashi Kishimoto, Mecha-Naruto. Interestingly enough, it seems like this new Mecha-Naruto will also have some transformations, so expect to see Mecha forms of the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama, as well.

There will also be a few new fighting mechanics in the form of guard-breaks and counter-attacks. It will be interesting to see how the counter-attacks balance with the standard substitution jutsu maneuver that is a staple of the Naruto series. From what Iíve gathered, this is a matter of attacking at just the right time as opposed to blocking at the right time. Personally, I was never a frequent user of the substitution jutsu in most Naruto titles. Then again, Iím not usually one who blocks in fighting games. I feel like I, personally, will find myself dealing out more counter-attacks than dodges.

Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will also feature some extra details about the history of the Naruto world. This game will reveal more information about both the formation of the Akatsuki and the Uchihas. Plus, the game will feature a new mode, Ninja World Tournament, a four-ninja battle to the last man standing.

Expect to see Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution hit the shelves this September on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
