Is That a Gaming Rig In Your Pocket...

Company: Tango Tech
Product: Tango PC

...or are you just happy to see me?

You may have heard about small form computers, such as the Arduino and the Raspberry Pi, but while those are good for making things interactive and part of the "Internet of Things," they aren't going to play the part of a gaming rig and their entertainment uses are a bit limited. Tango PC stands to raise the bar for small computing devices, with some pretty impressive performance that literally fits in the palm of your hand.

Tango PC Demo: Battlefield 4

The Tango PC is slim, fits in the palm of your hand, weighs under 7 ounces and features an AMD A6-5200 2GHz quad-core processor, DDR3 RAM, SSD hard drive, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 HDMI port, a headphone jack and internal Wi-Fi. The Tango PC is capable of running Windows 7/8, Linux, Unix, Chromium or other operating systems compatible with a laptop PC. (This thing has Steam machine-in-your-pocket written all over it.)

More Details about Tango

Tango PC has been very successful at crowdfunding, raising over $300,000 on Indiegogo and exceeding their $100,000 in their latest Kickstarter campaign (with a few hours left to go...). As of this writing, there are a few Tango Backer Special 3 slots available, which for a pledge of $349 or more, gets you a Tango PC, docking station, 32GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and Windows 7 Trial version (you would need to purchase a Windows License).

Not only that, but Tango will also be throwing in a second Tango PC system for Backers when they sell 200,000 systems anywhere - even outside of the campaign. (The free system configuration will have 4GB RAM and 32 GB SSD.)

Estimated Delivery of Tango PCs purchased through the Kickstarter Campaign is Novermber 2014.
