Paradox was feeling a bit generous and passed along some gifts and swag to give away, in a couple of boxes that were
huge for their size. (There are so many things to give away, in fact, that when I first saw them, I was pretty sure that we had at
least as many as the first number not nameable in under ten words.) Evidently, the folks at Paradox truly believe in all things in moderation - especially moderation!
At any rate, we've got a slew of things to give away: copies of Europa Universalis III, Frontline: Fields of Thunder, Rush for Berlin, Hearts of Iron: Doomsday, American Civil War: Take Command Second Manassas, Perimeter: Emperor's Testament and Galactic Civilizations II. We also have some swag, such as Europa Universalis III Strategy Guides and XL T-shirts.
We've decided to make the contest a bit of a paradox itself. First of all, while it's reasonable to think that any given entrant is unlikely to win, it's unreasonable to believe that no one will win. Someone will win these prizes. Secondly, we will be choosing winners for the lower prizes as the contest is ongoing, at unannounced times during the contest. If you win a smaller prize, you will be ineligible for larger prizes in this contest. Thus, it is better to enter once per day to increase your chances of winning, but doing so increases your chances of winning a smaller prize first, so it is better to enter fewer times, but in doing so, you lessen your chances of winning. Ah, a paradox! You'll figure something out, I'm sure. Mind you, this statement is a lie.
