RF Max 900
Score: 100%
Developer: Nyko
Device Type: Miscellaneous

Function:

I was amazed to see the clarity of the picture when I used the RF Max 900. It actually seemed to be better than when I had the N64 connected via the RCA A/V cable that came with it. The device is easy to install; plug one device into the A/V out, plug another into the Cable connection on your TV, and attach the power connector to the receiver. The RF Max then flawlessly transmits the audio and video signals through the air to the TV, using the same frequencies as the most recent cordless phones and cell phones. Since only the Output of the system is dealt with, the unit is fully compatible for use with any controllers, memory packs, and multi-player games. If you can do it on the N64, you should be able to do it with this device attached as well.

Performance:

This is easy to use, and has little to no effect on gameplay in and of itself, but may allow for a more comfortable and functional layout of your gaming system, and can eliminate the need for cords draped across the room. As the unit does NOT require any batteries, there is no time limitation imposed by the use of the RF Max 900.

There is an initial installation which is simple and straight forward, consisting of only two devices (one of which has to be plugged into an electrical outlet) - and then you can simply leave the system in place.

Features:
  • Works with ALL N64 Accessories
  • Easy to Use
  • On/Off Switch on Unit
  • Eliminates Need for Cords
  • Reliable 900 MHz Technology
  • Works up to 30 Feet Away

Drawbacks & Problems::

It is possible (but not easy) to block the transmission if the transmitter and receiver are not in ?line of sight? with each other. As long as you try to keep a ?line of sight? path between the transmitter and receiver, this shouldn?t be a problem.
