Monster Brain
Score: 100%
Developer: Pelican Accessories
Device Type: Multi

Function:

Although the Monster Brain is marketed as an editor for Pok?mon Gold and Silver, it does much more than that. First of all, it can be used to save any game. You can have more than 70 games stored on the Monster Brain. Also, it allows you to add your own colors and speed up the regular games. Past that, yes, it?s just a game editor for Pok?mon Gold and Silver.

Performance:

I find the Monster Brain to be very user friendly. The real downfall to the thing is that I had to play Pok?mon to use it. What the Monster Brain does is edit saved games. So, after you save a game, you can go in and edit the monsters, money, items, Gym Badges, names, speed, fighting techniques, and even gain access to the rare Pok?mon. And all of this is done without cheat codes. It is an editor, not a code generator.

The Monster Brain works well. It is of good quality construction and is very functional and advantageous for Pok?mon Gold and Silver as well as for the older, slower games.

Features:
  • Stores up to 72 Game Boy games
  • Colorize older gray-scale games
  • Play color games in gray-scale
  • Create your own color palette
  • Includes ten built-in palettes
  • Play older gray-scale games twice as fast to cure ?slow-down?
  • Edit USA version of Pok?mon Gold and Silver
  • Edit saved games to have any of the 251 Monsters, all items, any amount of money, time, badges, and clock
  • Edit trainer names and monster nicknames

Drawbacks & Problems::

The only real problem that I had involved saving game data. If you don?t operate the Monster Brain exactly like you?re suppose to, you will lose your saved data. Other than that, the Monster Brain works great.
