Xploder GB
Score: 80%
Developer: Blaze
Device Type: Accessory

So what is the Xploder GB? To put it plainly, it lets you cheat on Game Boy games. This little utility has hundreds of preprogrammed codes for hundreds of different games. What if you have a game that doesn?t have a preprogrammed code? It?s okay; you can input and save codes you find on the net and in magazines. But, what if I can?t find a code to program in? Easy, you can make up your own. The Xploder GB features easy-to-use menus which make choosing, adding, and making codes simple.

I found the Xploder GB to be very user friendly. The thing is as simple as scrolling through the codes to find the one you want for that game. There really is nothing to it. The only problem I had with it was creating codes. I was never able to successfully make a good code; the process it somewhat long and tedious. Other than that, the thing works great! The Xploder GB is, without a doubt, the best cheat utility you can find.

Perhaps its best feature is the large compatibility with the Pok?mon games. If you can imagine the cheat, it?s probably already there. If it?s not, the Xploder GB is compatible with whatever code you find. If you want to catch ?em all, the Xploder GB is a must have.

And there?s nothing to the installation. All you do is plug the Xploder GB into the game slot, insert a game into the game slot on the Xploder GB, and turn the power on. That?s all there is to it.

  • Built-in codes for more than 200 games
  • Utility to create your own codes
  • Compatible with Action Replay and GameShark codes
  • Color display for GBC games
  • Link cable compatible
  • Works with Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, and the original Game Boy
  • Has more than 1,500 Pok?mon Codes available (lets you unlock all the Pok?mon, including Mew)
  • Online support with addition codes available

Drawbacks & Problems::

The only problem that I had involved the code creation process. I found it difficult and almost pointless. If you can?t find a code to use, there is probably not one worth making. Other than that, the Xploder GB is great.
