Like the Mr. Tickle themed DVD, Little Miss Sunshine Presents: Fun In The Sun! is a collection of 6 episodes from The Mr. Men Show. The series is based on the famous children's books by Roger Hargreaves. Though there have been many Mr. Men animated adaptations over the years, this is the series made by Renegade Animation which aired on Cartoon Network in 2006. Not all the episodes on this disc feature the Little Miss Sunshine character, but the bonus games are based on her. In this DVD, the Mr. Men and the Little Miss's visit places such as a country fair, an amusement park and a lake with a beach to name a few.

As with the episodes found in the Mr. Tickle Presents: Tickle Time Around Town! DVD, this set of episodes has some moments that even adults will find amusing and interesting. Each character acts according to their name, so Mr. Stubborn is endlessly stubborn, Mr. Quiet expresses himself without words, and so on. One of the funnier moments I found was when Mr. Stubborn was on the roller coaster at the amusement park. Mr. Stubborn insists that nothing is wrong with the ride even when it stops, and even when the bolts start falling out. When everyone is finally rescued from the ride by way of trampoline, Mr. Stubborn still insists that he was promised a roller coaster ride and that he should be placed back on the ride immediately. So, in classic cartoon fashion, he is placed on the upside-down roller coaster train to stay there indefinitely.

Much of the amusement here comes from the good job done by the voice actors in this series. After all, the previous sequence would be near unbearable if it were done in an irritating, screeching cartoon voice. The actors manage to strike a balance between being silly and being (somewhat) realistic. Each character seems to have a distinct personality, even beyond their simple names. At some point, you'll most likely find a conversation between two of the characters that makes you smile.

Still, the story and the artwork are very simplistic. The stories are more or less just a set of random events based on a central theme. The artwork is flat, with that 60's style of flat, painted backgrounds. It is well executed, but doesn't go past its simple concept. Consistent with the episodes found in Mr. Tickle, this is amusement geared toward a very young crowd. You may find it hard to stick with this DVD as an adult viewer.

The bonus features are pretty much identical to the ones found in the Mr. Tickle DVD, and most likely the whole series of DVDs. The "How to Draw Little Miss Sunshine" is a narrated step-by-step guide to drawing the character. Again, there is a "Find Little Miss Sunshine" game where you look to see how many times she shows up in the picture. A couple of the activities are actually just videos, one is a song and dance number and one is a compilation of Little Miss Sunshine moments from the series. There probably isn't much replay value in these games save for maybe the drawing game. Again, the DVD contains a link to find more games, but this simply points you to the official website. You can't play the additional games if you don't have internet access. Finally, there is a mini full color storybook that comes with this DVD featuring a story about Little Miss Sunshine.
