J.A.G. has been running for quite a bit by this point, but it has to wind down eventually. J.A.G.: The Ninth Season is the second to last season, but that doesn't mean that it's showing any signs of winding down!

True to the rest of the seasons, J.A.G.: The Eighth Season ended on a two part episode that continues in J.A.G.: The Ninth Season. Harm (David James Elliott) has left J.A.G. to go find Mac (Catherine Bell) who is in Paraguay with Webb (Steven Culp) trying to rescue an old friend. While they are in Paraguay, something happens between Mac and Webb of all people! That's just a pairing that I really can't see, but you might as well get used to it as they will continue together. It is nice to see Gunny(Randy Vasquez) back as well. He joins up with Harm in Paraguay to rescue Mac and Webb. I do miss having in on the J.A.G. team. He was always one of my favorite characters. Anyway, after they all make it back safely, Mac returns to duty, but Admiral Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) has already sent Harm's paperwork through, so Harm is no longer a J.A.G. officer!

First Harm joins the CIA as a pilot for them, which really opens up a lot of new adventures. On one of these, Harm ends up wearing a shirt that says "Daddy's Little Girl", which really made me laugh! Of course this move to the CIA doesn't mean Harm is going to stop being military. He even convinces the military to let him land a C130 on an air carrier. Granted, that type of aircraft is way too big to land on a carrier easily and doesn't have the tailhook to stop it, but apparently it has been done once in history. Mac is of course feeling very left out here with Harm and Webb both as CIA. Harm's stint in the CIA doesn't last very long though. He just can't stay out of the spotlight, and CIA agents really need to keep their identities secret. Harm takes a job as a crop duster for a while, where he meets Mattie (Hallee Hirsh), his boss even though she's only 14. Eventually Harm does make it back to J.A.G., and really we knew he was going to because the show just wouldn't be the same without him! Harm becomes a father too, but probably not in the way that you're thinking though. You'll just have to watch to find that one out.

Tiner (Chuck Carrington) leaves J.A.G., is replaced by Jennifer Coats (Zoe McLellan). You might remember her from a few past seasons. Coates is just such a good person. She takes care of them all so well, especially the Admiral. Granted she can be a bit much at times, but she always means well.

Mac's life is just as unstable as ever. Her relationship with Webb is volatile at best. I mean how serious can you get with a guy that could just disappear any day. But she deals with it as always. Mac gets a crash course in prisoner transfer too. I personally really liked that episode as it shows Mac allowing herself to bend the rules and help someone that she never thought she would be in agreement with! Mac and harm have to be the first to ever try someone in international court, and they have to defend the secretary of the navy for war crimes! This is definitely the most important case they've ever tried, given the repercussions it can have on the world.

Bud (Patrick Labyorteaux) and Harriet (Karri Turner) are still doing quite well. They really are the cutest couple. Bud has worked out all his issues with the missing leg thing. He is going to have some conflicts with Commander Turner (Scott Lawrence). Turner will also have some racial issues to overcome this season.

As you can see, there is a whole lot going on in J.A.G. this season, all ending on a major cliff hanger that leaves us all wondering what the future will hold at the J.A.G. office. All J.A.G. fans should go get J.A.G.: The Ninth Season today!
