Most TV shows follow the good guys, expect you to cheer for the good guys, and you want the good guys to win. Well, in Leverage: The Second Season, you'll find out that sometimes the good guys are the ones who you least expect.

You might remember at the end of last season, the team split up and went their own separate ways. They are individuals after all, not used to working with anyone else. But apparently they learned that sometimes it's better to have friends around, so they're going to find a way to get back together, even if Nate (Timothy Hutton) doesn't want to. After all, there are innocents to help and plenty more scams to pull!

All of the team are back again: Sophie (Gine Bellman) is the grifter, Eliot (Christian Kane) is the muscle, Parker (Beth Riesgraf) is the best thief ever, Hardison (Aldis Hodge) is the computer expert, and Nate is the brains of the whole operation. Of course, that doesn't mean that they don't switch jobs sometimes. For example, Nate lets Sophie run a con to try and cheer her up after life gets her down. Parker has to try and be the sexy grifter sometimes, with a lot of coaching from Sophie! Parker continually gets weirder and I love the character even more! She's still my favorite. Eliot can apparently do anything, including play semi-pro baseball. Of course, before the con, he said he hated baseball, but I think with the first crack of the bat, he finds something to love about the game.

When the team runs across another team, and a guy that Sophie used to work with, they're going to run into a lot of problems! This team has a perfect match for each of our crew. I had no clue that Eliot's match would be female! Of course, we know all about Mossad agents from Ziva on NCIS, so given that she's ex-Mossad, of course she's bad ass. That's got to be the sexiest fight scene ever. Just to make it fun, Wil Wheaton plays their team's hacker, and they even reference Star Trek when talking about him. I do love an actor that can take the abuse.

Before long though, Sophie leaves the crew. Parker doesn't do well with the replacement Sophie choses for herself, Tara Cole (Jeri Ryan). Parker has really taken to Sophie. Can they convince Sophie to come back? Personally, I really hope so! But then Tara does an awesome job as their replacement grifter. She has a bit more loose morals than Sophie and is a bit less classy. But she's great at the job! Of course, Sophie had gotten Nate to stop drinking. What's going to happen when she's not around to keep him sober?

Leverage is the best at leaving you hanging, wondering how in the world they're going to get the team back together for the next season! This time, they're really going to have to work to get Nate back with the rest of the team! I can't wait to find out how they pull it off next season.

The DVD also has several special features, some of them quite hilarious. Personally I really like "The Hand Job" spoof video. The featurettes are also really good for giving you a behind the scenes look at how things run on the show. The show is worth purchasing alone, but these features just make it even better. If you haven't seen Leverage, you need to go out and buy both seasons today!
