The five tales are "Alice", "The Radio", "Call Girl", "Professor Dayton's Wife" and "The Haunted Dog". As you go through the movie, you will see the quiet little Professor Dayton teach a snotty little girl a lesson in "Alice" and introduce his new bride-to-be to some old students. These same students will come across the call girl in the tale of the same name and she will have a run-in with an unusual creature that is also seen in "The Haunted Dog". The security guard from "The Radio" regularly patrols the neighborhood where all these strange events seem to happen, and the events of his tale affect how "The Haunted Dog" turns out. The interwoven plots and multiple perspectives of the same couple of days that Creepshow III portrays are done really well and, while the movie feels pretty cheesy (as far as special effects and acting are concerned), it is still a good set of horror tales.
The Creepshow series is the brain-child of George Romero (Night of the Living Dead) and Stephen King (It, The Stand) that pays homage to the classic 1950's comic series of the same name. Even though the film has a cheesy, made-for-TV feel to it, the ideas and story of Creepshow III still come through loud and clear. Horror fans will probably want to rent this DVD before purchasing it and if you aren't a fan of the creepy, you will most likely want to keep away from this film.
