Naruto Uncut Box Set 3 finishes up season 1 of the series with the final question to the first Chunin Exam and kicks off the second season with the next part in the exams, The Forest of Death.

This collection seems to be lined up just right because it covers pretty much the entire second exam. Everything from Sasuke's first bout against Orochimaru (and subsequent application of the curse mark) to squad's fight with the Sound Ninja and their final trek to the center of the forest is here.

It is in this twelve episode collection where we see Sakura's resolve as her teammates fight themselves to exhaustion and other ninjas from the Leaf Village come to their aid. But when push comes to shove, Sakura stands on her own and holds off invading ninjas while her team recovers.

In Naruto Uncut Box Set 3, we also get a little peek into Rock Lee's power, as well as a look at how well Ino, Shikamaru and Choji's squad is coming along and how their individual talents seem to blend together to form a formidable team.

Like Box Sets' 1 and 2, 3 is a collection of three volumes that were released separately (in this case, 7, 8 and 9). Besides the benefit of having several discs in a single shiny box, you also get a book containing the storyboard art from Episode 28, "Naruto's Counterattack: Never Give In!" Big fans of the series probably have a hard time deciding whether or not to hold off for the Box Sets to get the extras or get the individual volumes as they come out. In the end, it probably all depends on how much of a collector you are. If you just want the episodes to watch at your leisure, the individual discs might be good enough, but if you want extras -- the Box Set series is where to go.
