It's third year for Harry Potter, and this time, his life is in danger right from the start. The evil Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban prison and is trying to kill Harry. In order to protect the school, the Ministry of Magic orders the dementors (the haunting, soul-less guards of Azkaban) to watch over Hogwarts. Harry, however, is adversely affected by the dementors, and struggles to understand and overcome their effects on him, with the help of the new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher - Professor Lupin.

As the year progresses, Harry and his friends, Ron and Hermione, discover that there is more to the tale about Sirius Black than is being told to them. Who is Sirius? Why is he trying to kill Harry? Harry and his friends struggle throughout the school year to find the answer.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third movie in the Harry Potter series and has a whole new feel from the first two films. It sports a new director, Alfonso Cuaron, who tries a new direction than the previous director, Chris Columbus. While Cuaron tries to add a more personal feeling to the movie, it ends up feeling rushed. To those who haven?t read the books, this movie could be slightly confusing as not much explanation is given to the various intricacies of the story and to key plot elements.

Overall, however, this is a good movie that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. If you?re in the mood for a good fantasy movie, and want to see what this Harry Potter mess is all about, go out and give this movie a try. If you?re already a fan of Harry Potter, I?m sure I won?t have to tell you to go out and get it.
