So what exactly is it that makes Miley Cyrus so popular? Honestly, I couldn't tell you for sure, but I can see why people like her. At least as far as the concert, backstage scenes, and rehearsal scenes show, Miley is always happy, cheerful, and fun to be around. It's no wonder everyone likes her so much.
The movie starts out with a song from the live show. Then they go back in time a few weeks and show you the rehearsal and set up for the concerts. There is a lot of work that goes into making the stage show so explosive. The stage hands, backup singers, and choreographers are amazing at what they do. It's so nice to see that Miley acknowledges it as well. She doesn't think she's a one-man show. She knows that the crew help make her so successful.
I was impressed with the way the movie was put together. I was worried that it was just going to be song after song until I got sick of hearing her. Instead, they did a very good job of taking breaks at the right time. Of course, it helped that the concert was set up that way in the beginning. To give Hannah time to change back into Miley, the Jonas Brothers take the stage as a mid-concert act, instead of an opening band. Now I'm sure you've heard of the Jonas Brothers too. Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas (yes, they really are brothers) have become quite famous on their own. They're popping up everywhere just like Miley, although not quite as much. They perform a great middle act, so Miley has time to reappear and finish the show as herself.
When you start the movie, you can choose from the 2D or the 3D version. There are 4 sets of 3D glasses that come with the movie. Personally, I would avoid the 3D. Unlike the digital 3D that you see in theaters now, it's still the kind that you have to wear the red and blue glasses. After 10 minutes, your eyes start to hurt from watching it. Don't bother trying the digital 3D glasses that you get at the movies either. They won't work with the movie. But, if you're dying for the 3D, it's available. Both 2D and 3D are available in full screen or widescreen. There are also some special features available on the DVD so you get even more of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.
It's nice to know that there are some pop stars out there that people of any age can watch. Pop stars that are a good influence on kids are rare. If you, or your kids, are fans of Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers, you should go get this DVD today.
