Rockstar Sweeps Develop Industry Excellence Awards |

The results of the 6th Annual Develop Industry Excellence Awards were announced today, and Rockstar was evidently playing Grand Theft Award, as they stole away quite a few titles this year.

Develop magazine is produced monthly and is available worldwide, targeting games programmers, artists, musicians and producers. Develop magazine created the Develop Industry Excellence Awards to seek and recognize excellence in every facet of the UK and European development business. Awards are determined by a jury of almost 100 independent industry experts. This year the jury were very excited about Rockstar.

Rockstar Games made off with four individual awards, with its Rockstar North studio grabbing both the visual arts and audio accomplishment prizes for its work on Grand Theft Auto IV and being named best in-house developer. In addition, a special Grand Prix Award was bestowed to Rockstar Games, as the company felt by Develop to have contributed the most to games medium during the past year, not only on account of Grand Theft Auto IV, but also in recognition of Rockstar's widespread studio network which regularly pushes the creative boundaries of gaming.
